Privacy Policy

"Durak" (the "App") is a location-based reminder app developed by Batuhan Demir ("we", "the developer"). Your privacy is our priority. This policy explains how your data is handled when you use the App.

1. Data We Collect

Durak is a serverless app that runs entirely on your device. It contains no account creation, data collection, analytics, advertising, or user tracking. The following data is processed only on your device and never leaves it:

Location data — used only to detect when you arrive at a place (on-device only).
Your reminders — title, note, location, radius, and preferences, stored in a local database on your device.
App preferences — settings such as language choice (stored on device).

Summary: Durak does not collect, upload, share, or sell your personal data.

2. Use of Location Data

Location data is used solely to send you a notification/alarm when you arrive at a marked place or a selected category (e.g. a pharmacy). This is done entirely on your device. To work while the app is closed, the App may request "background location" permission; if denied, it only works while the app is open.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses Google Maps SDK and Google Places API for map display and place search. While using these services, Google may process your search queries and map interactions under its own privacy policy: Google Privacy Policy.

4. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions to function:

Location (foreground and background) — to remind you on arrival.
Notifications — to show you notifications/alarms.

All permissions can be revoked at any time from your device Settings.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

All data is stored only on your device. Uninstalling the App or clearing its data permanently deletes all reminders and preferences. The developer holds no accessible copy.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
